CEREC Porcelain Dental Crowns
Crowns (or caps) cover all surfaces of the teeth and are used when the teeth are more broken down or have been heavily filled. Again, we mostly use our CEREC technology to make beautiful and strong ceramic crowns. Also, as there is no metal underneath, you do not get a ‘black line’ so often seen with conventional crowns.
A crown is a full coverage or partial restoration to replace any missing tooth structure. A Bridge is a restoration to replace missing teeth. A Veneer is half a crown, to restore the front portion of an anterior (front tooth).
All these restorations are made at my surgery from my Cerec machine.
No impressions are required as the mouth is scanned with an intra oral camera and designed and milled in house out of a solid block of ceramic and bonded in place.
